Denver rents are 14th-highest in country, some pay $2,350 a month

Denver rents have risen to become the 14th highest in the country, according to a new report.
National home and rental search site Zumper said the median rent for a one-bedroom unit was $1,250 per month and a two-bedroom unit rented for $1,750 per month. That's a 4.2 percent increase from a year earlier.
The most expensive part of the city, Zumper reported, was the city's Golden Triangle area near downtown, where the median rent for a one-bedroom unit was $2,350 a month.
You want cheap? Head to the MarLee neighborhood in west Denver, where median monthly one-bedroom rents are $775.
San Francisco has the highest monthly median rents in the country, at $3,500.
Last week, it was reported that Denver rents are "unaffordable," because it takes 35 percent of a person's monthly income to afford rent in the city.
